Designer Eyeglass Frames, High Tech Lenses, Great Eyewear Style and Perfomance
Bailey Eye Care offers a wide selection of vision correction options. If you prefer glasses instead of contact lenses, our onsite optical center is a great place to select the frames and lenses that are best for you. We carry a wide selection of designer eyewear for both men and women in classic and contemporary styles. We also offer several lens options; photosensitive, polycarbonate, high-index all with optional scratch resistant or anti-reflective coating.
Great eyewear doesn't happen by accident and they can't be made on the cheap.
- The eye doctors use years of experience to determine the best prescriptions for you and your lifestyle.
- Lenses and frames are then custom-measured and fit by a trained technician who is thinking of your needs and the way you will be using your new eyewear.
- Our products are latest-generation - no "older models" or discontinued versions.
- The eyeglasses are carefully manufactured in a US facility where they don't ship unless they are just right.
Checks and balances are in place because we hold our vendors to these standards. Unlike many big retailers, we don't own the manufacturers or the lens labs so we are able to hold them accountable to your satisfaction.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your New Eyewear
- Start wearing your new glasses immediately
- Wear your new glasses continuously unless prescribed for special use only
- Wear your glasses as close to your face as possible – poor fit can change the prescription
- Clean them regularly with proper solutions and cloths to keep the surface free of debris and smudges
- Progressive Lens Wearers: Point your nose at reading material and adjust your chin to bring reading materials into sharpest focus

Our philosophy when prescribing glasses is to educate you on the differences in design and quality of lenses available. Superior quality lenses are typically available through large labs and can not be made in just a couple of hours. Some commercial stores offer lenses in an hour or so, but you must understand that you are not receiving the best quality lenses availiable on the market. We use these larger labs to ensure the best quality lenses. You will not receive these lenses in one hour but we believe the wait is well worth it.

Crizal® Prevencia Crizal Prevencia is a No-Glare lens that blocks out specific wavelengths of blue light from reaching the patient’s ocular tissue. It is basically an Anti Reflective (AR) lens, similar to standard Crizal® No-Glare treatment, except it is specific to blocking the narrow band of blue light from 415-455 nanometers (nm) which is specifically the “retinal damaging” light.
No-line bifiocals: No-line progressive bifiocals by Varilux allow you to see better because they provide clear, comfortable vision at all distances. There are no age-telling lines on the Varilux lenses so no one needs to know you are wearing bifocals. High-performance digital lenses by Varilux give you the best clarity and fit possible.
Anti-reflective coating (also know as anti-glare): Crizal anti-reflection lenses help you see and look your best. In simple terms ,the coating is actually layers of filters on the front and back surface of lenses that allow all of the light to pass through the lens instead of bouncing back as reflection. They are durable, easy to clean, and resist surface static. The most important feature is that the filter increases the amount of light that passes through the lens so you see better, clearer and sharper than before. Anti-reflective coatings make your lenses look almost invisible.
Polarized lenses: Squint no more! In simplest terms a polarized lens is a high tech sunglass filter that eliminates glare and allows light to pass through the lens in only one direction (like miniblinds). It also provides 100% UV protection for your eyes. Without doubt, it's the lens of choice for driving, fishing, and skiing, golfing and all sunny outdoor activities.
Transitions®: Transitions Changeable lenses make your eyes more comfortable because they are designed to adapt to any light. They darken in the sunlight and lighten back to clear indoors.
Computer lenses: These new technology lenses are designed for your eyes to relax at the computer. They are designed to give you comfort and vision for close and intermediate distances. While these lenses are primarily designed for computer use, they work great for anyone requiring clear intermediate and near vision, such as musicians, architects, accountants, surgeons, and many others. They are available in plastic, glass and polycarbonate, single vision as well as progressive lenses too.
No-line progressive lenses: Distance, intermediate and reading prescriptions in one pair of glasses for all your vision needs. The technology behind these lenses has evolved to precision so virtually anyone can now comfortably wear their progressives all day with absolute natural ease.
Customized progressive lenses: These progressive lenses are the first lenses to be designed specifically and uniquely for each individual wearer. We will measure your head and eye measurements and Rx parameters and design completely customized progressive lenses just for you.
Hi-Index Lenses: These thin lenses come in wide range of choices, especially for strong prescriptions, but all are basically flatter front curves, resulting in thinner lighter lenses. They offer superior optics and can be easily used when rimless and thinner metal frames are being worn.
Polycarbonate: They are the strongest of all the optical lenses, these are recommended by the FDA for sports and safety and work best with most rimless frame styles. Think about your lifestyle needs and ask if these are missing from your wardrobe.
We fit all types of contact lenses including lenses for astigmatism, overnight wear, bifocal contact lenses, keratoconus and much more.
CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) Lenses
One of the most exciting type of lenses being fit at our offices are the CRT(corneal refractive therapy) lenses. CRT lenses are rigid lenses that are worn only when you sleep. These lenses are taken out in the morning and you are left with good vision without contact lenses or glasses throughout the day. This is not a permanent correction of your vision but it is a temporary solution that requires wearing the lenses at night.
For those patients that have had a difficult time finding lenses that provide good enough vision for their lifestyle, there are RGP or "hard" contacts. These lenses do provide better vision in most cases, but are usually a bit more diffcult to adjust to comfort wise. There are many patients in these lenses that are completely happy and unwilling to switch to soft contact lenses.
Silicone Hydrogel Lenses
Another category of lenses that are fairly new to the market are the silicone hydrogel lenses. These lenses can provide many times more oxygen to the eyes compared to other category of lenses. The FDA has actually approved 2 of these lenses for up to 30 days of continuous wear without taking them out of you eyes. Sleeping in lenses is not for everyone, but many of our patients wear them for that amount of time with great success. These lenses are actually providing some patients with a second chance to remain in soft contact lenses. If there is a significant risk of failing ocular health due to lack of oxygen to the cornea, then these lenses may provide the needed oxygen and therefore may extend a patient's ability to remain in soft lenses.
If the options above do not provide the vision or comfort levels needed to be a successful contact lens wearer, then we also have a hybrid lens called Synergeyes. This lens provides the good vision of a hard lens with comfort more similiar to that of a soft lens. It is design with a hard center to provide good vision, but has a soft skirt around it giving it more of a soft feel. This lens comes in a few designs, including Multifocals, Astigmatism, Keratoconus and Post Surgical lenses. To learn more you can visit their website at www.synergeyes.com.
